SMART is managed by a Trustee company,S.M.A.R.T. Pty Ltd ACN 010 747 574,ABN 35 002 976 294.  The Directors of the Trustee company (known as the Trustee Directors) are responsible for managing SMART in the interests of all members.  They must also ensure that it is run in accordance with its Trust Deed and the law.

Indemnity Insurance
The Trustee has taken out indemnity insurance to protect the Trustee Directors and SMART against the financial effects of any errors, inaccuracies or oversights that might occur in the management of SMART.

Compliance
To receive concessional tax treatment, SMART must operate in accordance with superannuation law.  The Trustee lodges a return each year with the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) indicating SMART's compliance with the law.  The Trustee is not aware of any matter that would cause SMART to lose its complying status.
